Underground Tank Testing

Tank Testing is required when there is a suspected leak, before beginning a SIR program, every 5 years when on manual inventory control and before and after installing a corrosion protection system.

Pressurized Piping is required to have an annual test performed unless the system has electronic leak detectors with continuous leak detection, interstitial sensors or the tank is being monitored by a SIR program. Leak detector testing is required annually unless the system has electronic leak detectors with continuous leak detection. Old suction systems must be tested every three years.

Corrosion Protection requires a test to be performed within six months of installation and every three years to verify the system is working properly. A rectifier log must be maintained and available on  site with readings taken every 60 days.
